Pain Treatment Services
Successful whole body pain treatment begins with making a careful diagnosis of the true cause of the problem. The treatment plan for your pain will be highly dependent on the cause of that pain.
Treatment Plan for Pain
Treatments can involve a number of disciplines and skills, including hands-on manipulation, specialized injections, nutritional supplements and therapeutic exercise.
A summary of different treatment types is below. Some of our treatments include:
Treating Chronic and Acute Pain
Integrative Pain Treatment Center can treat chronic and acute pain successfully without narcotics through a clear understanding of the body’s complete systems.
Services for Integrative Pain Treatment
Pain management services that are effective without using narcotics can include any one or all of these approaches:
Successful osteopathic manipulation is heavily based on anatomy, physiology and works with the inter-connectedness of body parts. There are many forms of osteopathic manipulation, ranging from the subtle approach like craniosacral to the more aggressive like high velocity (snap, crackle and pop!).
The goal of osteopathic manipulation is to establish as much of a balance as possible within a person’s body. This balance enables the full flow of all bodily fluids and helps alleviate disruptions due to trauma, helping the body cope with stress.
Prolotherapy is a specialized injection that stimulates the body’s own healing potential to help heal torn ligaments and tendons. This treatment not only relieves pain, it creates stability and flexibility in the areas in which it is injected. Learn more about prolotherapy.
Neural Therapy is an injection into scars using procaine (i.e. Novacaine) to ease the strain imposed on the body by the scar.
As a scar heals it creates a pulling effect on the surrounding skin and fascia (a type of connective tissue), which can result in pain or tension elsewhere in the body. Injecting the scars results in immediate relief from any pain caused by the scar tissue.
Many times illness, chronic or recurrent pain is due to an imbalance in our nutrition, which could be caused by deficiencies in vitamins and minerals. By supplementing certain nutrients, adding certain foods, or eliminating harmful food and drink, your body will have what it needs to function at its best.
